Used this tool to pull and replace the tailshaft bushings in both my '84 Mustang with the T-5 and my '57 Thunderbird with the Fordomatic. Tool works excellent. Make sure to grease the threads on the puller and go slow with hand tools only.

Both bushings pulled right out with no issues. Driver tool put the new ones back in square and easy/5(12). Dec 11, It's just as easy to remove the tailshaft housing from the transmission and remove the bushing standing up, instead of laying under the car.
Last one I did, all I used was a screw driver and hammer to remove it, once it was out of the car. Come think of it, I don't see how either of those tools will fit into the tailhousing with the mainshaft in there too.
